Kite Festival

This weekend we (Walker, Theo, Myself & friends) headed out to White Rock for the Festival of Wind, Water and Waves. I can't say enough about this event. Sunny, clear skies brought out people of all kinds to enjoy the simple pleasure of kite flying. If you didn't have one to fly, volunteers were on hand to help you create a kite of your very own.

We brought a picnic lunch for the babes and spent the afternoon soaking up the sun and taking it all in.

No complaints from Baby Theo!

The BCKA (British Columbia Kitefliers Assocation) have a host of events planned for the summer season. Check out the events page and try to get out to one. You won't be dissapointed.

Gettin' Crafty for the Mommas in My Life

I am very lucky to have some amazing Mothers in my life. Women I have learned and continue to learn so much from. Now that I am a Momma myself, I truly appreciate the effort, patience and creativity it takes to be a parent. In celebration of Mother's Day, I headed over to Michaels and scooped up some textured cards, alphabets, stickers et voila! I now have a super cute product to mail out to my Mommies.

Creating these cards and reflecting on these women has been an awesome way to spend the evenings.

Welcome. Welcome.

Hello Everyone... Anyone? I'm Karen. I am a stay-at-home mom with a wonderful 9 month old boy. Baby Theo. I am adventuring into the blogging world in search of active, nourishing activities to share with my son and our mom friends. Our family makes beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia our home. Albeit the info on resources for caregivers and children are abundant, I'd like to offer a more personal approach to what's out there. It's fine to know there's a swap meet in Port Moody? But how do I get there? What treasures will I find or acquaintances will I meet? Comments, ideas and responses to my posts are greatly anticipated.

OK. Let's GO KIDDO!

Best Wishes,
Karen
